Italian for “Wine hound” this is Jeff’s take on a Super Tuscan style wine and made in honor of our winery dogs. Sangiovese brings fresh fruit and fragrant aromatics while Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot add great depth and structure. Think of it as the big brother to last year’s Santo di Ladro.
Stylish and fun, aromas of strawberry mash, fresh plums, ripe raspberry, and tart cherry entwine with floral notes of violets and lavender and coalesce into dark hints of sarsaparilla, fig balsamic, espresso bean and cigar box. The palate is layered with juicy red and black fruit, cherry compote, cocoa, licorice and spice notes of clove and nutmeg with vibrant, inviting acidity, wrapped in a structured and polished finish.
